I'm taken the DCnU as an opportunity to get into monthly superhero comics. I'm no stranger to comics or superheroes, but the years of over-complex and confused canon used to put me off a tad. Super Whatnot aims to write about the DCnU comics, campaign, and the experience of getting into buying/reading comics on a weekly basis. I'll do comic reviews, musings (while I hate the word), and maybe even some academic analysis if those gears of mine aren't too rusty.
